Hello!! Thank you for agreeing to write something for me. <3 I'm signed up to For Light and Life as facingthenorthwind (spacegandalf) and if you're writing me a treat, please gift it there. Optional details are optional, of course, and I'd love to see whatever you come up with! Some of these have more stuff about them than others but that's not because I'm less enthusiastic about the others! Some of them just lend themselves to longer sections, often because they're more prominent characters or something.

I am open to interactive fiction and crossovers (see +here for a list of fandoms I'm familiar with and anything I've written or bookmarked except for Hibike! Euphonium, Supergirl and any characters that appear in the Jacket Bar). If you want to transport THR characters to another part of the Star War, please only do it to some period in the New Canon/Disney Canon, since I'm unfamiliar with Legends.

My letter has some characters grouped or paired together for organisation purposes. This doesn't mean I'm not open to genfic with them! I love genfic (it's most of what I write, lmao). They're just paired that way because they're narratively connected so it makes sense to pool their prompts (but there's always at least one genfic prompt in there). I'm completely caught up with Phase III, so feel free to be as spoilery as you like.

What if Sav hadn't given Qort over to Yoda? What kind of shenanigans would happen?
Maz has gone to the Takodana Jedi Temple for "caf dates and slumber parties". What happens at those?

2022 run:

I would love anything about Sav's adventures as a pirate Padawan! What chaos does Sinube bring to Sav's life?
Perhaps something about Sav's Gender Hats? Technically the High Republic Character Encyclopedia gives her pronouns only as "she/her", but what if she has some Gender going on? She uses a different hat when she's going by he/him as an undercover pirate, and I think there's stuff to explore there!
How did she get a Kuyo war shield hat in the first place (the big flat one)?
There's this little mention of Sav and Saya in Escape from Valo:
- That Jedi I told you my grandma fell for on Jedha—Sav Malagán? Nana Saya was ready to leave her group, the Dank Graks, and run away together. But the girl said she couldn’t go with her. Broke Nana’s heart. They became close friends later and finally talked about it, what had happened—something about Jedi not forming powerful attachments, and also my grandma was a war criminal?”
What happened there? What if they had got together? Would she have left the Jedi and become a pirate full-time? Would she have tried to make it work with her still being a Jedi? What would Sinube's reaction be?

Therm Scissorpunch:

How did he start to fabricate his reputation?
Does he gain a real reputation after the Battle of Jedha?
Does he still struggle with anxiety afterwards? Does someone else in the gang help him through it (Rado again or someone else)?
What was he before he was a pirate?

Raf Thatchburn and Alak:

Anything about their star-crossed romance! How did they fall in love?
What previous encounters did they have between falling in love and the Battle of Jedha?
Does Tanteek love Alak? If so, does that cause some awkwardness if Raf is with some of his colleagues and Alak turns up? What other awkwardness ensues when Raf and Alak are with other people and they have to pretend to be not in love?
How does Raf adjust to becoming a pirate?
What do Raf's (former) colleagues know about any of this?
For Alak: more about his relationship with Quiet Shan, especially when she was a baby!
Mission fic with Raf trying to deal with pirates, perhaps?

Officer Rado:

Anything about the tiny Officer Rado and his doomed attempts to stop Coromont from committing crimes.
What was it like when Rado was first assigned?
How did the gang get used to him/become kind of fond of him (which is how I read it) when it becomes clear that he's not very good at actually reporting anything? When do they realise that he can't report them if he incriminates himself every time so they do it on purpose?
Why is he still with the pirate gang during Escape from Valo?
Does Rado save the day at some point (other than of course giving Therm the best pep talk ever)? Does his knowledge of the law come in handy?

Zeen having to hide the Force from Krix and the rest of her community can very easily be read as a metaphor for being in the closet. Is she hiding both her Force sensitivity and her queerness on Trymant IV?
I am obsessed with Zeen's conviction that she needs to run away so she doesn't get in the way of Lula's destiny to become a Jedi. What if she did try to run away? Would Lula and co. go looking for her? Or just Lula?
What if they got together earlier?
What was Zeen's life like on Trymant IV before we met her?
What was Lula's life like before we met her? How close were Lula, Farzala and Qort before they all ended up on the Star Hopper? Why is their training in the 2021 run more communal than with their individual Masters?

Ty Yorrick

Monster of Temple Peak:

Did anyone look for her when she left the Order?
We know she hides from Jedi during the time of the Starlight Beacon. What would happen if one caught her?
What was Ty like as a Padawan?
How did Ty cope with being on her own when she left the Order?
What if Klias hadn't died? If Ty had subdued him in some non-fatal way, and they'd returned to the Jedi?

What adventures did Lula have between the fall of Starlight Beacon and Zeen finding her?
How does Lula explain to her fellow Jedi about her decision to leave for Zeen?
Does Lula talk to people about proposing with other Jedi (other than what we see with her worrrying over the bracelet with Qort and Farzala)?
What makes them decide to be the quintessential baby dykes uhauling across space? Is it because they know people could be killed by the Nihil or the Nameless at any opportunity? Or something else?
What if Lula tries to make things work with Zeen without leaving the Order?
What if she had got her memories back, instead of mostly getting them second-hand after the crash? Or perhaps more exploration of her learning to live with her amnesia? I know I DNW'd permanent amnesia but this one is canonical, so feel free to explore it.
What if she'd never lost her memories in the crash?
What did she get up to between the crash and being rescued? Could she have had a little affair with Nan, perhaps? I think they could kiss. 👀 If she does, does she still send the "I have what the Mikkian wants" message?
How do either/both of them deal with the stress of being behind the Stormwall on Eriadu?
Who decided that it's Maz who should have the official power (as pirate queen of the whole galaxy, of course) to declare them married? Do regular Jedi have the power to marry people?

Ty Yorrick

What if she was actually a decent person to Drewen? He doesn't deserve her treatment of him. :(
What the fuck happened to Cibaba? Why did he join the Nihil? What's his recovery like? (A fic about this doesn't have to include Ty if you don't want to!)
We know that Ty and Drewen remain at the temple, doing missions for Elzar. Is there any awkwardness there? Does Ty Feel Some Kind Of Way about it? Is there anyone there that she knew from before she left?

Please don't write Matthea/Oliviah! I'm just not into it. Unrequited is fine, since it's canonical.

What was Matty's padawanship with Leebon like? She clearly knows Jedha really well, so she can't have been stuck at the Convocation — what was she doing instead?
We know that Matty has "messed around" and "sometimes hadn't even been caught" (Path of Vengeance). Who catches her mid-fooling around? She's clearly been caught multiple times, too, so is it the same person who catches her each time? (I am a firm believer in Lia's headcanon that she gets caught having sex at bars, which is why she's technically banned from Enlightenment, but wherever you want to go with it will be great! You don't have to stick with that.)
Is the messing around always FWB/one night stands or does she have a relationship with someone?
I would looove to see more Tey and Matty interaction! I feel like they could get up to all kinds of things that make Vildar go prematurely grey.
What's the Vildar-Matty dynamic like? Has Vildar had a Padawan before?
What if Matty got a pet? What's the reactions to that?

Please no talk about their radically different lifespans!

Vildar is a fucked up little guy. How the hell did he get knighted? He's not at all over a thing that happened when he was four, and doesn't trust himself. As Tey points out, surely those things should have been resolved during his Jedi training?
What made him decide to avoid the Togrutan front? What if he'd gone there instead?
What's the Vildar-Matty dynamic like? Has Vildar had a Padawan before?
I would looove to see more Tey and Matty interaction! I feel like they could get up to all kinds of things that make Vildar go prematurely grey.
Everyone at Enlightenment laughs and is clearly extremely familiar with Tey pulling the Morichro trick. What made them so familiar with it?
Why did Tey join the Guardians in the first place?
What kind of things does Tey achieve on the Convocation?
What if Tey got a pet, or a creature decided that Vildar was their person now and keeps following him home?

Sadly, we don't get any details about Matty in Phase III except that she's already left by the time of the flashback, which is what, a year after we saw them last? Why did she leave?

How do they get together? Who makes the first move? How does Vildar feel about being a Jedi and being in a relationship?
What's Matty's reaction to them getting together?
Are there other moments like the flashback when Tey feels like he's failed Vildar?
How do all their coworkers know they're together? I am obsessed with the "problems at home?" comment one of their colleagues makes, especially since such a short time earlier Vildar refused to hug in front of other people.
Are there Jedi who have Thoughts And Opinions about their relationship? Does Vildar keep it from other Jedi? If so, how does Tey feel about that?
Tey says that Vildar taught him how to use the Hand of Siberius for good. How did that work?
Why is Tey carrying around the balm of the Luminous?
In Tempest Breaker, Kradon mentions that Vildar, Matty and Tey's tabs at Enlightenment still haven't been paid. His last line before Tey hangs up on him is, "Tey, your husband owes me 500—". HUSBANDS? Did Vildar leave the Order to marry him? Are things more chill in regard to that kind of thing during the 380s BBY, so he can do it without leaving? Why did they get married? Who asked who? I would love to know literally anything about this.
On a genfic note regarding that Kradon quote, what on earth made Vildar leave Jedha having racked up a 500 zukkel debt without paying it?
What's Tey's work with the THR (2023) gang like? In Dispatches From the Occlusion Zone Lourna Dee defends him by saying "Tey Sirrek is not a dark sider, he's just really annoying." I would love Tey and Lourna interactions, or some Tey taking care of the little girl. Or perhaps Tey counselling Keeve with her struggles?

Orphan Padawan Club: Cohmac Vitus, Reath Silas

I found myself struggling to remember the books (the comics are so much easier to reread) so I'm sure I'm missing plenty of ideas I'd love to see! Despite separating them into their own sections, Cohmac and Reath's prompts are pretty mixed in together so I recommend reading both sections if we've matched on one of them.

Cohmac Vitus

Cohmac is just seventeen mental illnesses in a trenchcoat, but it sounds like he had it more together before the events of Into the Dark. Did he just not encounter death so much? Is it just that he doesn't return to the frontier, so he can successfully pretend to be normal about what happened out there?
What happened after his master died? Who trains him and how does that go? He says that the knighthood trials were more of a formality after the Eiram-E'ronoh crisis. He also says that it's that mission where "he had ceased to be a student and become a Jedi in truth". This feels like a bit of a paradox when it comes to his reaction to things, and the fact that in the immediate aftermath he tells Orla that Jedi teachings are wrong. Why is that?
Has he had so little faith in the Jedi Code and customs around death and attachment since before Simmix's death, or is that what prompted it? Has he ever spoken about it with anyone?
Do Cohmac and Orla talk about their disagreements with the Council together?
How often do Cohmac and Orla see each other once they're knighted?
What makes him leave at the end of Midnight Horizon? He decides when he realises Orla's dead, but why?
If you don't want to get angsty (which is difficult with Cohmac! I feel like it's almost impossible not to), what about his experiences that lead to Reath encountering him in footnotes "on topics as diverse as ancient Force rituals and high-crisis hostage negotations"? When Reath sees him in the archives before they both go to Starlight Beacon, what was he looking for in all those holocrons?

Reath Silas

What friends did Reath have before he left to go to the frontier? What did he do in the archives all day?
What are the differences between his time as Jora's Padawan vs Cohmac's? I get the vibe that Cohmac's never had a Padawan before but I don't know whether that's stated anywhere, so maybe he's had a previous one and I didn't notice.
Does he talk to Cohmac about Dez and Jora's deaths? How does that conversation go, given Cohmac's feelings on the whole thing?
There's an offhand mention in Out of the Shadows that Reath was kidnapped during a mission once. What happened?
Reath and Cohmac went on a mission to Genetia to save two libraries and a museum's artefacts, datapads and datatapes because of a civil war. We get this casual aside in Out of the Shadows: "their last few days on Genetia had been spent hiding from revolutionaries who thought the Jedi were emissaries of a demon king". What happened there? (There's lots of cool little details about Genetia and their mission there in the book.)
Something about how Reath only ever has crushes on unavailable girls, perhaps? One day you'll find a non-evil woman who is into men, Reath. I believe in you. But how many lesbians and aces does he crush on first?
How does he feel when Cohmac knights him and immediately runs away? Does he talk to Yoda or Kantam about it? To lose both his masters, even if Cohmac isn't dead... brutal.

Cohmac going on a little Orla tour after her death to look for her just in case is absolutely devastating. What's that like? Where does he go?
Does he ever regret leaving the Jedi?
How does he feel about returning to the temple? What are other people's reactions to him not returning to the Order? (yet??? Does he decide to join it after all in the future?)
I've suddenly forgot everything about Tears of the Nameless, oh no. I'm so sorry I don't have more prompts relating to it, but I'm sure I'll love whatever you come up with. It cost me $47 entire dollars, which is highway robbery, and I don't even remember it very well! Probably I should reread it at some point, I guess.

Reath Silas

Azlin keeps talking to him alone during Tears of the Nameless. Does it get Weird? If you want to get badwrong with it....... I wouldn't say no. I'm happy to waive all my DNWs for some Azlin/Reath badwrong.
How does he feel about Cohmac's return, especially that he's not returning to the Jedi? Does Reath have some misplaced guilt about it?
In Echoes of Fear he tells Cohmac that he wishes Cohmac had as much faith in himself as Reath had in him. Honestly, I'm not sure where to go with that but it punched me right in the gut.

Non-Jedi: Cair San Tekka (Phase III spoilers!)

If you want to write a fic that more has Xylan as the main character, but is still about Cair/Xylan, I'm fine with that!

We get a criminally small amount of information about the whole corporate espionage --> marriage blackmailing --> genuinely falling in love (????) thing. I would love all the fic about how this goes down. Cair claims near the end of Defy the Storm that it was his plan all along. What does he mean???
In Defy the Storm I was like "Xylan Graf in a wholesome loving relationship? I'm here for it, I love them" and then Temptation of the Force was like "lmao surprise one half of this relationship IS still Xylan Graf". How much is Cair keeping in mind that he's married to Xylan Graf, who is Not A Nice Man?
When did they fall in love?
What's their respective families' reactions to their marriage? Especially Cair's.
How does Cair reconcile Xylan's bad moments (kidnapping him from Naboo) with his good moments (being in love with him)?
What does Cair do to help behind the Stormwall when our heroes aren't interacting with him?
How does he adjust to having a prosthetic hand? How does he react to his extremely close brush with death? Sure, he does lots of dangerous things, but usually it's not quite so close you need to amputate your hand about it.
In Temptation of the Force there's this moment:
- Cair’s grin sharpened. “I won’t. But I’ll tell you I trust him with my heart.”
  Belin groaned.
  Rhil said, “They’re married. Don’t get him started.”
What has Cair said about Xylan to make them react like that? Perhaps some outsider POV on their relationship?
